Matthijs de Ligt: Ajax captain 'awaiting possible transfer' - Juventus favourites
As the players are "waiting for a possible transfer", Ajax has already let the captain Matthijs de Ligt withdraw from their team at the Austrian training camp.
The Dutch central defender is related to this move, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are listed as potential destinations.
The 19-year-old De Ligt led Ajax to the Dutch Cup last season, the Dutch Cup and the UEFA Champions League semi-final.
He joined the 9-year-old club and scored 13 goals in 117 games.
De Ligt made his debut in Ajax in 2016 and was appointed captain of the club in March 2018.
The Dutch club said in a statement: "We brought 28 players to the training camp in Bramberg, Austria on Saturday afternoon, waiting for a possible transfer, and Matthijs de Ligt did not travel with the group."
Last week, Barcelona President Josep Bartomeu said he knows where De Ligt will play next season, but will not elaborate on this.
Serie A champion Juventus is considered a favorite of De Ligt's signature and is reported to be close to the £7.16 million deal.
